We are seeking a skilled Legal and Trust Safety AI Trainer to work as a project consultant in our AI Labor Marketplace. This is not a full-time employment position — you will be engaged as an expert project consultant on a contract basis.
Location: U.S.-based experts only
Engagement: Part-time, project-based expert evaluation work
Work Type: Remote
Project Summary: Support the development of AI safety systems by generating and evaluating realistic scenarios involving criminal law, family law, civil rights, trust & safety legal review, and legal risk assessment.
This is a project-based consultant role. Consultants will be paid on a per-project basis; hourly rates are estimates based on anticipated completion time. Consultants control their own schedule, provide their own tools, and may simultaneously provide services to other vendors/employers (subject to those vendors’ allowances).
Responsibilities
- Generate realistic industry-specific scenarios and examples
- Evaluate AI-generated content and model outputs
- Identify nuanced safety, risk, and policy edge cases
- Apply project annotation guidelines and structured metadata
- Document classification decisions and supporting rationale
- Review work for quality, consistency, and realism
- Contribute professional expertise to safety classifier development

Qualifications
- 7-10+ years of experience in litigation, prosecution, criminal defense, family law, civil rights, or trust & safety legal work
- Representative titles: Senior Litigator, Senior Public Defender, Trust & Safety Counsel, Forensic Counsel, Senior Civil Rights Attorney
- U.S.-based professional
