Tipalti is looking to hire a creative, detail-oriented, hard-working attorney to draft, negotiate and manage commercial contracts. The position will involve drafting and negotiating complex agreements ranging from financial services, professional services, software licenses, software as a service, development, support and supplier agreements. In addition, this attorney will be help create and implement processes to more efficiently handle high-volume contract needs. This attorney must have a high value for client service and have experience in collaborating with colleagues across all departments to achieve solutions. Ideally this attorney will be well-versed in technology and licensing, with a critical eye towards risk and regulatory issues. Because this position will involve a large amount of drafting, editing and writing, exceptional writing skills are an absolute necessity. The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter with strong interpersonal and organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively and proactively provide sound legal advice, exercise good business judgment, work with senior management and implement processes on a cross-functional basis in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate or equivalent degree, with state bar membership
• 3-5 years’ experience practicing either in-house or at a law firm negotiating commercial transactions
• Exceptional writing skills, with attention to detail and ability to generate creative original drafted documents
• Outstanding communication skills and ability to work both in teams and independently
• Experience with GDPR, CCPA and other privacy regulations is a plus
