The Senior Lead Counsel I - Prime Finance SVP will provide transactional and advisory legal services to risk managers and business representatives within Citi’s Prime Finance group, which focuses on providing financial services to hedge funds and other professionally managed asset pools. Provide legal advice and regulatory guidance for prime brokerage, securities lending, enhanced leverage arrangements, equity-linked derivatives and margin lock ups, and legal advice in areas of client on-boarding, capital introduction, and cross-margining issues. Apply familiarity with prime brokerage services and the equity swaps market, including financial and operational aspects of both markets. Apply knowledge of securities and swaps regulations, margin requirements, insolvency law, and security interest regimes. Negotiate, draft, and analyze transaction agreements. Coordinate among various groups in a large, complex organization, including groups which may have contrary views on any given issue. Draft complex legal documentation. Convey complex concepts in a straightforward, understandable manner orally and in writing.
