Manager, Enterprise Risk Management

The Enterprise Risk Management – Manager is responsible for supporting the implementation and execution of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework. This position will play a key role in ensuring senior executives and the Board of Directors are able to make decisions that are informed by up-to-date risk information. This is a great professional development opportunity for a finance or technical career-oriented individual. This is a role that directly impacts the performance and profitability of the organization adding value for internal and external stakeholders. This role will also have exposure to all areas of the business providing the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with employees from different business segments and functions. This role will report to the Director of Risk Management within the Legal department and will work closely with Internal Audit on Enterprise Risk Management related activities.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primoris’s enterprise risk management program, policies, and procedures to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organization as the company grows.
  • and coaching cross-functional teams of risk owners and subject matter experts in performing a repeatable risk assessment process, assessing risk interdependencies, internal and external factors, and existing and potential mitigation strategies, collaborating with colleagues across the company, including IT, Legal & Compliance, Finance, Operations, etc.
  • risk intelligence through the creation of key metrics to gauge effectiveness of enterprise risk performance and report this data to the Director of Risk Management
  • risk intelligence with an understanding of the interconnections and consequences to the business, perform and synthesize risk impact and likelihood analysis as required and communicate updates to leadership on internal and external trends, potential threats, and opportunities that could impact Primoris’s development, construction, financing, and operational activities, including any impact on strategic objectives.
  • and implementing training in risk management tools and processes that support a culture of continuous learning, information sharing, and ownership for proactively identifying, analyzing, mitigating, and structuring around risks.
  • mitigation and remediation efforts as well as emerging risks while maintaining the risk register and report and communicate key performance indicators and key risk indicators to stakeholders, including Business Unit leaders, Officers, Board Members, and Financing Parties, as required.

  • and presenting reports to senior management and executive teams on risk exposure, mitigation strategies and efforts, and key performance indicators.
  • Primoris maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • up to date on evolving risk management practices and technologies and recommend improvements to enhance the effectiveness of Primoris’s risk management processes.
  • enterprise risk management methodologies throughout the business to enhance risk-based decision making and calculated risk taking.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • degree in business administration, finance, or a related field. Degree in Risk Management preferred but not required.
  • years relevant experience within a financial services organization, Big 4 audit firm, risk consulting firm, or as a senior in-house enterprise risk management role.
  • quantification methodologies and modeling knowledge and experience
  • or more relevant accredited certifications in a relevant field, such as COSO, CERA, CPRM, CISRCP, CC(GRC)P, CRISC, or CISSP.
  • proficiency and understanding of the principles of enterprise risk management.
  • experience in enterprise risk management, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience developing and administering an effective and sustainable ERM program.
  • knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and risk management practices.
  • with relevant regulatory requirements, such as data privacy regulations, security standards, and industry-specific compliance frameworks.
  • knowledge of ERM and IT frameworks (COSO, CObit, NIST, ISO).
  • problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex situations and make informed judgments.
  • communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • project management abilities and the capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • in risk management software and tools. We currently utilize AuditBoard as our Risk Management Information System (RMIS).
  • with a strong willingness to pitch in as necessary.
  • management skills and the ability to influence and drive change across the organization through collaboration and story-telling.
  • and able to work in an autonomous environment.
  • in or knowledge of the construction or energy industry is a plus but not required.
