Compliance Attorney, Hardware (In-House)

We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Hardware Compliance Attorney for a near-term client engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware compliance, including knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and certifications. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess, mitigate, and manage compliance risks throughout the product lifecycle.

We are actively seeking a Hardware Compliance Attorney located anywhere in the United States with the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on IT and electronics hardware compliance.
  • Strong understanding of relevant regulations and standards, such as FCC, CE, RoHS, and REACH.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in the state of which you reside.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Support our well-known corporate technology client on the following:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of hardware products to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and other stakeholders to integrate compliance requirements into product development processes.
  • Provide guidance on regulatory matters and advise on compliance strategies to mitigate risks and achieve business objectives.
  • Monitor changes in regulations and standards related to hardware products and communicate potential impacts to relevant teams.
  • Develop and implement compliance training programs for internal stakeholders to raise awareness and promote a culture of compliance.
  • Represent the company in interactions with regulatory agencies, certification bodies, and industry groups.
