About the Role:
We are looking for a part-time rockstar Paralegal with HR & Payroll Experience to support and drive the HR operations, manage payroll alongside our payroll company and handle all third-party contracts.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborate with our payroll company to ensure payroll is handled properly.
  • Collaborate with our HR company to ensure HR and compliance are handled properly.
  • Create, analyze, negotiate and manage vendor contracts.
  • Work with key stakeholders (HR, Legal, and IT) to ensure compliance
  • Monitor contract renewal and expiration dates and communicate with impacted departments, in a timely manner, for decision making on the next steps
  • Guarantee adherence to all employment/labor laws through programs, practices, policies, investigations, training, and actions
  • Protect the company’s interests by ensuring all legal requirements are met and followed through proactive practices, investigations, and actions. Interpret and coordinate policies fairly and, consistently within legal boundaries.
  • Continually assess and update company HR policies, in accordance with state, federal, and local regulatory requirements.

Requirements Include:

  • 3+ years experience as a paralegal
  • 5+ years of experience in HR, payroll operations
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in human resources, business, finance, accounting, legal studies, public administration, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of federal and state employment regulations to ensure compliance
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company;
  • Exceptional Integrity, work ethic, and commitment to confidentiality
  • Independent, organized and must have a very keen eye for details.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Excel

Hours: 10-15 hours per week, between 9 am to 6 pm, PST.
