Private Wealth Solutions was established to answer the growing demand for Blackstone products from high-net worth investors. Partnering with many of the world’s largest private banks and wealth management firms as well as family offices, Blackstone’s Private Wealth Solutions team packages and delivers the full breadth of Blackstone’s alternative product capability to these firms and their clients and provides ongoing product and advisor support, as well as education and training around alternatives. Private Wealth Solutions is globally positioned with offices in New York, London, Paris, Zurich, Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

Job Title: Legal & Compliance – General Counsel, Private Wealth Solutions

Job Description:

• As a member of the Blackstone Legal & Compliance team of ~180 professionals globally, lead the comprehensive legal support for the Private Wealth Solutions business representing $100B+ of Blackstone’s AUM

• Directly participate in global product development including origination, structuring and regulatory affairs across many distinct markets and jurisdictions

• Represent Private Wealth Solutions and spearhead coordination within Blackstone’s legal department in cross-business initiatives and business efforts

• Actively participate in the global expansion in Asia, Europe and Latin America and the numerous commercial and legal considerations surrounding growth, positioning and risk management

• Manage all legal matters for Blackstone Total Alternatives Solution (BTAS), a private multi-asset vintage program designed for private wealth investors, including fund formation, regulatory compliance and governance

• Oversee a wide range of contractual negotiations and agreements between banks/wealth management firms (of all sizes and in all markets) and Blackstone to distribute fund offerings to individual investors

• Support the management of the broker-dealer activities of PWS including sales practices, broker-dealer legal inquiries, marketing materials and regulatory reviews

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have:

• 8+ years of relevant experience

• Undergraduate and law degrees

• Demonstrated ability to write effectively

• Strong communication skills
