Position Summary

As a team, the Legal Division is responsible for handling all legal matters for the Company including regulatory filings, SEC and CFTC compliance, contract drafting/review, corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions, disputes, litigation, etc. This particular role will be focused on reviewing, drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts. This individual will also be expected to handle a number of other general corporate legal matters.

Responsibilities

Review, draft and negotiate a variety of contracts on a daily basis, including services agreements, license agreements, technology agreements, marketing agreements, non-disclosure agreements, lease agreements and other agreement types.
Assist in the development or enhancement of templates, policies and processes to help create efficiencies in the contracting process.
Assist in managing outside counsel work on general corporate matters.
Other legal support for Company activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and Juris Doctorate required (from an accredited institution).
Member of applicable state bar.
Minimum 2 to 5 years of directly related experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
Knowledge of relevant substantive legal areas, including intellectual property, licensing, privacy and data protection.
Working knowledge of general securities industry, financial markets and/or derivatives markets – preferred.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, as well as document management and other office technologies.
Strong attention to detail and ability to understand complex contractual issues, assess risk and provide pragmatic recommendations to all levels of management.
Ability to independently manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously.
