As a member of the Diversey Legal Department, the Contracts Counsel is responsible for providing strategic legal advice and technical expertise as an essential and valued team member and business partner. This attorney will work closely with other Legal team members, the Diversey sales teams and procurement partners on a full-spectrum of contract law and commercial issues, including, contract drafting and negotiation, commercial transactions, policies, processes and training.
Key Responsibilities
Structure, draft and negotiate a variety commercial contracts, including product sales, equipment leases, professional services, IT, supply chain and other procurement agreements
Review and interpret contract rights and obligations and assist in resolving contractual disputes
Draft and update template agreements
Support contract administration process improvement and efficiency
Work closely with the contract manager and involve subject matter experts as needed
Elevate matters to the attention of the Americas General Counsel, as required
Perform other duties, as required
Required Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school
Bar admission and good standing in any jurisdiction in the U.S. (eligible to practice in South Carolina)
8-10 years’ substantive experience in contract drafting and negotiation with minimum of 5 years’ in-house legal experience

Comfortable challenging the status quo and operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Excellent internal and external relationship management and advocacy skills
