We all depend on healthcare throughout our lifetimes, for ourselves, and our families and friends, but it is notoriously difficult to navigate and understand. As an industry that comprises 20% of the US economy we think healthcare should work better for all of us. • Support sales and operational teams with structuring risk-appropriate and business-friendly relationships with vendors, clients, and others involved in healthcare transactions
  • Communicate dynamic regulatory frameworks so that we can operationalize requirements
  • Implement self-help resources for healthcare and related legal compliance
  • Remain up-to-date with regulatory and industry developments and anticipate needed changes to our products and processes
  • Implement process improvements and standard practices
  • Manage an active IP portfolio and related external counsel

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • JD from an accredited U.S. law school and member of the bar in any U.S. jurisdiction. If you live in California, member of the California bar or the ability to practice in California as a registered in-house counsel
  • 5+ years of in-house or law firm experience providing advice on health regulatory or product-related issues
  • Experience with intellectual property
  • Experience with evolving legal areas and technologies, and making meaningful predictions about future developments
  • Demonstrated creativity and rigorous methods for solving problems
  • Experience in a government agency, healthcare organization, or high-growth company, with a strong familiarity with ERISA, the ACA, Employment law, and litigation experience are desirable

You will report to our Senior Manager, Regulatory and Product Counsel.
