We are adding a Legal Operations Analyst, Commercial to our team.  This role reports to Asana’s Global Head of Commercial Legal.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, highly motivated individual to join our team.  You’ll be responsible for co-creating and driving projects, processes and commercial enablement to improve the effectiveness of the Commercial Legal team. You’ll support a variety of projects and work with cross-functional teams across the full range of subject matter supported by the Legal team, with a primary focus on global commercial metrics. The successful candidate in this role should have experience using Asana to drive project or be motivated and have the aptitude to develop the skills necessary to become an Asana “power user” quickly, demonstrate flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs in a rapidly changing environment and be able to work independently, proactively identifying areas of need, and generating actionable plans and solutions.  

 

What you’ll achieve

  • Provide support for Asana’s contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems and tools to enable the business to easily navigate contracts and operationalize requirements from all cross functional teams including but not limited to legal, sales, and procurement
  • Support the data collection and reporting of team metrics regarding legal support for the business
  • Responsible for managing commercial contract signature routing in compliance with Asana’s global signature policies, including DocuSign updates, CLM configuration, and manual signature routing.
  • Maintain contract archiving processes within Ironclad, G-Suite, and any other associated system
  • Help design, manage, and facilitate legal enablement programs to provide training on commercial legal processes and tools to the legal department and cross functional teams, including but not limited to, enablement materials and FAQs
  • Support the legal team’s use of existing technology tools to enable streamlined team collaboration and workflow automation for Asana’s legal team and to help deliver on our operational goals  
  • Support and manage a variety of ad hoc projects within the team as they arise

 

About You

  • B.A or B.S. required
  • 4+ years of experience with in-house legal operations, ideally including at a high-growth technology company (experience in both areas is preferred)
  • You have experience using the Asana platform or the demonstrated ability to become proficient in Asana, with clear experience driving efficiency of legal departments 
  • Communication and collaboration is at the forefront of how you operate, with a focus on making the complicated understandable to all levels of the organization
  • You have a proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional groups (e.g., Finance, Operations, Enterprise Technology, Sales, and IT) to set objectives and produce meaningful results that have tangible business impact
  • You have experience with Google Suite, Salesforce, as well as with technology tools commonly used to support commercial legal processes including Ironclad or another CLM tool, Docusign, and Asana.  
  • You have an interest in becoming proficient in other tools used to support commercial legal teams, including tools utilizing cutting-edge technologies.

To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit. 

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $139,000 - $177,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
