Associate Attorney - 2-5+ years’ experience The Huntington Beach office of Kjar, McKenna & Stockalper seeks assiduous and detail-oriented Associates to join our growing office on our medical malpractice teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced medical malpractice attorney who has specialized in elder abuse cases and is interested in insurance defense work, thrives in a high energy, fast paced environment; works efficiently under pressure and is able to meet deadlines; demonstrates good decision-making and is proactive and solutions-focused; and wishes to foster and further their litigation skills. The ideal candidate has strong written and oral communication skills, is detail oriented, and will be able to effectively collaborate with fellow KMS attorneys in the defense of their clients.

Qualifications · JD from an ABA school required · Admitted to practice in the State of California · 2+ years of civil defense litigation experience · Experience with elder abuse and medical malpractice · Superior analytical skills · Strong written and oral communication skills · Team player with great attitude and willingness to learn is essential

Responsibilities · Independently work with a senior attorney on Team to manage caseload. · Conduct legal research, handle discovery and analyze medical records. · Regularly handle court appearances, depositions and meetings · Communicate with clients and provide status reports
