Our legal team provides key support for all TikTok’s innovative initiatives, state-of-the-art products, and integrated platforms servicing our global video market. We help our technological and business teams enable their vision by providing integrated legal guidance and support. The TikTok team is growing fast and is seeking highly experienced, bright and capable legal professionals to join the team. The following describes the responsibilities and requirements for the role. - Support the North America Legal team across a wide range of subject matters, including Corporate, Product and Commercial. Corporate responsibilities include the following: - Support management of the North America entity portfolio, including annual filings, foreign qualification statements, surveys, business licenses and related registrations and reports; - Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in Tax, Finance, Global Corp Structure and Governance, and Public Policy to establish entity guidelines and best practices across group companies; - Serve as a key point of contact for any questions related to corporate governance; and - Build out and iterate on playbooks, resources, FAQs and related guidelines. Product and Commercial responsibilities include the following: - Provide legal support and guidance for existing and emerging apps and products seeking support in the North America market; - Review NDAs, and assist with general transactions and other commercial matters for the North America market; - Educate and inform product and business leads of preliminary requirements, market standards and best practices for entrants in the relevant market; and - Help build out a go-to-market strategy and ensure product roadmap is consistent with established SOPs and can be integrated into existing processes and systems.

- Bachelor’s degree plus a Juris Doctorate from a top-tier ABA-accredited law school. - Member in good standing of the California or New York bar. - 4+ years of post-qualification law practice. - Experience at law firms and in-house at technology platforms or startup-stage companies preferred. - Self-starter with the ability to handle complex issues with minimal guidance. - Highly organized and energetic, able to navigate a fast-paced environment and be able to effectively serve deadline-oriented clients.
