Edwards is looking for a Senior Legal Analyst to join the Law Department’s Global Privacy Team. The Senior Legal Analyst will be responsible for timely review and analysis of contracts, conducting vendor due diligence and processing data subject requests. They will closely partner with Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and other functional groups within each of Edwards’ business units, as well as corporate IT, Information Security, and Compliance and will require a thorough understanding of each of Edwards’ business units and the products they manufacture and sell. The Senior Legal Analyst will report directly to the Chief Privacy Officer.

Work Schedule: This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in office at our headquarters in Irvine, CA.

 

How you will make an impact:

  • Respond to global consumer privacy requests (DSARs) on a timely basis in accordance with applicable law
  • Provide essential client and attorney support and partnership regarding various types of clinical and business contracts at Edwards
  • Support and occasionally leads plans and schedules activities to successfully support the training of business partners regarding the contract processes and privacy regulations across all of Edwards
  • Responsible for supporting the development and accuracy of playbooks, presentation decks, templates, review guides, and job aides
  • Proactively identify, develop, and recommend process improvement solutions
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

What you'll need (Required):

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience OR master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: negotiating contracts and/or compliance with data privacy regulations and privacy program development and support

 

What else we look for (Preferred):

  • Paralegal certification
  • Privacy certification from the IAPP, such as CIPP-US, or similar certification
  • Background in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or related healthcare industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, including collaborative and relationship management skills
  • Excellent independent problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skills
  • Appreciation of diverse business operations and cultures
  • Ability to be a team player and a trusted business partner
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize projects and tasks appropriately

 

Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.

For California, the base pay range for this position is $88,000 to $124,000 (highly experienced).

The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
