Our firm has expanded into Lexington, KY and we are in need of an associate WC attorney to operate out of our Lexington office. Job Title: Associate Attorney - Workers' Compensation

We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience in the area of workers' compensation. The ideal candidate will be able to handle a large volume of cases, meet with clients, and have a strong understanding of workers' compensation laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle a high volume of workers' compensation cases
  • Conduct client meetings and manage client relationships
  • Draft and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
  • Conduct legal research and analysis
  • Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and benefit review conferences
  • Negotiate with opposing counsel and insurance adjusters
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice law in Kentucky.
  • An Indiana license is a plus, but not required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in workers' compensation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload
  • Ability to travel as needed
