Overview:

We are a dynamic and reputable criminal and traffic law firm based in Richmond, Virginia, dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to our clients. We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Criminal and Traffic Defense Attorney to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in representing clients in criminal and traffic cases, ensuring their rights are protected and providing expert legal advice. While experience is preferred it is not a requirement for this position. Additionally, you will offered the valuable opportunity to appear in court on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

  1. Legal Representation : Provide expert legal representation for clients facing criminal and traffic charges in court.
  2. Case Management : Manage a caseload efficiently, ensuring that all cases are handled with the utmost professionalism and attention to detail.
  3. Legal Research : Conduct legal research to stay updated on relevant laws and precedents to build effective defense strategies.
  4. Client Consultatio n: Consult with clients to understand their cases, explain legal options, and provide realistic expectations regarding potential outcomes.
  5. Court Appearances : Attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings to advocate for clients and present compelling arguments.
  6. Negotiations : Negotiate with prosecutors, law enforcement, and other parties to achieve favorable outcomes for clients, including plea bargains when appropriate.
  7. Documentation : Prepare legal documents, including briefs, motions, and appeals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  8. Client Communication : Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about the progress of their cases and addressing any concerns they may have.

Qualifications:

  1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  2. Admission to the Virginia State Bar and eligibility to practice law in Virginia.
  3. Strong understanding of Virginia criminal and traffic laws and procedures.
  4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  6. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

Compensation: The compensation for this position will range from $60,000 to $110,000, commensurate with the candidate's level of experience and qualifications.
