About the role

Roku, Inc. is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join its Legal team. This position will be based in one of the following US offices of Roku: Austin, Chicago, or Boston. Remote work is possible if the candidate is located in a geographic area where Roku does not have an office. The ideal candidate will support and manage the contracting process for Roku’s Technology and Commercial Transactions Team, and review and prepare contracts for execution in accordance with Roku’s legal requirements and corporate policies. 

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Support and manage the contracting process for the Technology and Commercial Transactions Team and negotiate and execute key contracts. Duties include:   
  • Review and prepare NDAs for execution
  • Create and organize contract management databases; including those that summarize important terms in Roku’s contracts; those that organize “standard” terms for use in contracts; and those that facilitate locating previously signed contract documents
  • Generate and customize reports that highlight key data about technology and commercial contracts  
  • Propose innovative ways to streamline operations and follow through on implementing new processes
  • Prepare standard agreements, including SOWs, Order Forms, MSAs and other key contracts and contract related documents with attorney supervision
  • Process electronic signatures for contracts using e-signature tools  
  • Maintain and organize contract repositories
  • Assist transactions team with other projects as assigned

 

Specific background should include:

  • At least 5-10 years of relevant contracts management or paralegal experience
  • Experience implementing processes for contracts at an inhouse legal department
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of skills and experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Ironclad, SharePoint, DocuSign, and Confluence.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment, utilizing effective organizational skills to prioritize and manage deadlines for multiple simultaneous projects for multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-department and cross-functional role
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Highly organized with a meticulous attention to detail
