The Ohio Automobile Dealers Association (“OADA”) is a state trade association, representing the interests of franchised new motor vehicle dealers. OADA is seeking a talented attorney with a minimum of 1-3 years’ experience to join its team.

The position will have responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

•  Interpreting existing or proposed state and federal laws and regulations;
• Communicating and responding to member dealers on business inquiries and other legal questions;
• Managing various projects and programs in the Department of Legal Affairs;
• Writing and reviewing various contracts;
• Participating in the development and presentation of educational training and materials;
• Writing newsletter content for OADA members;
•  Handling Association governance issues for OADA; and
• Completing other various tasks or other projects as assigned.

This position has the following minimum requirements:

• J.D. degree and license to practice law in the State of Ohio;
•  Experience drafting and reviewing contracts;
• Well-developed editing and writing skills;
• Strong communication and client skills;
• Analytical ability, judgment, and diplomacy;
•  Ability to handle responsibility for planning, implementing and completing projects;
• Previous experience in dealer franchise law and/or Association experience preferred, but not required; and
• Working knowledge of the automotive industry is a plus.

This is a full-time on-site role for an attorney located in our Dublin, Ohio office.
