About The Job

Our Legal, Regulatory & Compliance team monitors the legal landscape and provides strategic guidance to drive the business forward while mitigating risks. By joining this team, you will work closely with colleagues across many Danone functions with a focus on Contracts and our Cycles & Procurement teams. You will assess the risks, evaluate effects, and propose sustainable and practical solutions that have a positive impact throughout the organization. We are currently looking to hire a Corporate Counsel based in Broomfield, CO or White Plains, NY (HYBRID ROLE).

The role will include the following scope

  • Lead drafting and negotiation of a myriad of commercial contracts including service, supply, manufacturing, finance, leases, consulting, construction, transportation, warehouse, distribution and sales agreements
  • Provide accurate, reasoned, and concise legal advice to business teams at all levels and across multiple business and countries without undue reliance on outside counsel
  • Work cross-functionally on projects throughout the procurement and operations organization, providing sound guidance and negotiating commercial deals as needed to meet critical business objectives
  • Work with AGC Contracts and other team members in developing, improving, and implementing contracting guidelines, processes, and business training
  • Handle a diverse range of duties and responsibilities effectively while exercising initiative and independent judgment in a fast-paced, multinational environment
  • Stay abreast of relevant and emerging trends in the law
  • Report directly to the Associate General Counsel, Contracts

About you

  • Juris doctor degree from a top-tier law school
  • Minimum 4-8 years of experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department with specific corporate and transactional experience
  • Willing to travel occasionally for the role (10%)
  • Ability to identify legal issues quickly and communicate sound, understandable legal recommendations to the business effectively
  • Possess strong work ethic, a “hands on” mentality, take ownership of work product, and can work in a fast-paced, multinational environment on a collaborative legal team
  • Strong oral communication, interpersonal, drafting and negotiation skills
  • An ability to relate to a diverse client base and provide creative and clear counsel to the business to achieve company objectives
  • IS/IT or IP experience a plus but not required

The base compensation range for this position is $145,000 - $175,000, commensurate with experience.
