The Contract Specialist responsibilities will include handling all aspects of the contract lifecycle, including for some complex agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, master services agreement, amendments, statements of work, work orders, purchase orders, and other commercial contracts. The Specialist III must be comfortable supporting a business unit in a high-volume, fast paced contract negotiation environment that involves multiple stakeholders.

What You'll Bring

  • 5 – 10 years of relevant experience in contract review/redlining/negotiation required; this is the primary responsibility for this role and demonstrated experience and success performing these activities is a mandatory requirement.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
    • Provides advanced legal assistance to in-house counsel and internal clients with primary responsibility for transactional legal matters.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (notably extensive experience working with negotiating and redlining documents in Microsoft Word), and other technical skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.

We'd Love To See

  • Experience using DocuSign CLM and/or Salesforce platform strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with a contract management system or similar technology strongly preferred.
  • Experience at a data or technology company, or at a consumer-reporting agency preferred.
  • Experience working with a procurement team through the contract lifecycle.

Impact You'll Make

  • Primary responsibility for review, redlining and negotiation of procurement, technology and other agreements.
  • Support procurement contract negotiations, including but not limited to identifying the appropriate agreement, drafting agreements, redlining agreements, negotiating agreements, guiding the agreement through to full execution, and managing amendments and renewals.
  • Function as a project management “liaison” between internal business teams (procurement, third party risk management, information security, privacy, finance, etc.) and the Legal Team.
  • Provide visibility for management and internal business teams into the status and progress of contract reviews and negotiations with new and existing vendors.
  • Review, update, create and maintain various contract forms and templates.
  • Propose solutions to problems identified for discussion with supervising attorneys.
  • Serve as a point of contact regarding contracts for the internal business teams.
  • Perform special projects to support the Legal Team.
  • Manage internal contract approvals and assist with data entry of customer contractual documentation.

Pay Scale Information

The salary range for this position is $80,845.00 - $132,600.00. *The salary range for this position reflects the general range of compensation for this job and does not include our bonus incentive(s). This position is eligible for bonus incentive(s). At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position, and market considerations.
