Job Description

We are a small firm, seeking an associate attorney to become a part of our team. Our firm specializes in construction law, real estate law/transactional, employment law (defense) and general business litigation. The working environment is very relaxed, we are a small firm with an open door policy, we work together to generate the best results for our clients. We do offer paid time off and paid sick time. Our working hours are low in comparison to other local firms of our size. A normal day starts at 9 and ends at 5 p.m. We try to maintain a low pressure working environment. You will not receive projects at 5 p.m. on a Friday, due Monday!

You will represent clients in legal proceedings, draw up legal documents and advise clients on legal transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in court or before government agencies
• Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
• Advise clients on business and legal transactions
• Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
• Comply with all legal standards and regulations
• Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years experience as a working attorney
• Familiarity with various legal documents
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
