Vaco has partnered with our client that is seeking to hire an Associate Attorney to their team. The Associate Attorney is an in-house counsel position and this individual will handle general and commercial/business litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Handling lawsuits from filing to judgment.
• Collaborating with internal restructuring and accounting teams with respect to preparing matters for litigation.
• Manage external local counsel to handle out of state matters.
• Managing out-of-state dockets.
• Advising and providing legal analysis to business executives with regard to status of and strategy surrounding MA and out of state litigation.
• Assisting with other legal matters, including transactional matters, as necessary.

Key Requirements/Qualifications:

• JD required
• Licensed Massachusetts attorney
• 4-5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage simultaneous projects.
• Ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
