Job Description

Summary:

The Patent and Trademark will aid clients with intellectual property management and protection. As the Patent and Trademark Attorney you will draft and submit patent and trademark applications. The Trademark Attorney will litigate matters related to patent, trademark, trade secrets, and copyright infringement.

Responsibilities:

• Provides legal advice and representation to individuals and businesses seeking patent, trademark, or copyright protection
• Evaluates viability of patent and/or trademark requests
• Completes and files trademark, service mark, patent, and copyright applications and registrations
• Assesses evident of infringement or dilution cases
• Prepares and files briefs, motions, and other judicial pleadings
• Participates in and manages litigations for cases involving intellectual property disputes
• Facilitates the discovery process including interview and deposes of witnesses

Requirements:

• Possessed a Juris Doctorate Degree
• Active license in Connecticut
• 5+ years of patent and trademark experience with a transferable book of business
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite
• Strong research, analytical, and communication skills, required
• Ability to work onsite 3x/week
