We are looking for a talented lawyer to support our rapidly growing e-commerce business teams. You will have experience advising digital platforms, in particular e-commerce platforms and online marketplaces, understand how the law is developing to regulate them, and have the versatility to advise across a broad range of commercial work streams. You will support a diverse range of initiatives across cross-functional and multi-jurisdictional teams to support the TikTok e-commerce business.

You will join a team that is dedicated to delivering excellent stakeholder service to achieve pragmatic solutions for the business. In doing so you will:

- Structure, draft, negotiate, and review logistics, strategic partnership, procurement, license, and other commercial agreements for the TikTok e-commerce business
- Contribute to update and maintenance of key online terms for the TikTok e-commerce business
- Advise internal clients on legal risks and business strategies related to commercial transactions and business operations
- Partner with business teams to resolve issues in existing commercial relationships, including contractual disputes, and provide creative solutions to complex problems
- Support the continuous improvement and scale of contract templates, playbooks, contract review and signature processes, and related internal training.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree plus a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Member in good standing of a state bar (California or New York preferred)
- 6+ years of practice, including in-house experience as a commercial counsel preferably at a technology company
- Substantial experience in negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements such as logistics, strategic partnerships, indirect procurement, SaaS, and professional services agreements, as well as non-disclosure agreements
- Proven track record of success in completing commercial transaction negotiations under tight timelines that both meet business needs and comply with the company's risk posture.
- Solid experience in advising on logistics (shipping and fulfillment) services and programs
- Practical business judgement
- Experiences in developing contract templates and playbooks; use of CLMs and related training
- Knowledge of US laws as it applies to e-commerce platforms and platform providers
- Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills in a cross-functional and global role
- Ability to work independently on many different projects at once in a fast-paced environment

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually) The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $180500 - $303000 annually.​ Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​ Our company benefits are designed to convey company culture and values, to create an efficient and inspiring work environment, and to support our employees to give their best in both work and life.
