We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Government Compliance Manager to join our team. The Government Compliance Manager will primarily be responsible for ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and internal policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a Government Compliance role and will enjoy rolling up their sleeves to work cross-functionally in support of organizational goals.

This is a fully remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Company liaison for DCAA and DCMA supporting audits and inquiries related to, disclosure statements, business systems, incurred cost proposals and cost impacts, floor checks, and material cost audits (MAAR 6 and 13).
  • Partnering with leadership to identify and analyze strategic opportunities pertaining to SRI’s pricing structure to ensure SRI is competitively positioned.
  • Assist in mitigating SRI’s risk because of ongoing DCAA DCMA audits and inquiries.
  • Subject matter expert for all FAR, CAS, and internal policies and procedures.

Oversee government accounting and compliance matters across the company including:

  • Supporting development and submission of annual Forward Pricing Rate Proposal
  • Preparation and negotiation of Incurred Cost Submissions
  • Maintenance of all CAS Disclosure Statement
  • Preparation, submission, and audit support of CAS cost impact proposals
  • Partnering with finance leadership to analyze prospective opportunities to simplify or create efficiencies
  • Delivering training to ensure new regulations are understood and implemented

Monitoring and ensuring compliance with cost accounting standards and CAS Disclosure Statement practices of the organization including:

  • Providing guidance and counsel regarding development and maintenance of internal control aspects of policies and procedures
  • Analysis of accounts for proper classification of indirect expenses (allowable and unallowable costs in accordance with FAR 31.2)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with a minimum of 10 years of progressive responsibility; CPA or MBA desirable
  • Background in government contract accounting, including experience with CPxF, T&M, and FFP contract types.
  • Advanced knowledge of CAS and FAR; strong working knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint; advanced in Excel.
  • Understands the underlying principles on complex details, goes beyond detail to see big picture.
  • Anticipates and prepares for future events and outcomes, evaluates resources for strategic advantage.
  • Works well in an unstructured environment, makes sound decisions when faced with unclear situations, deals promptly with difficult problems, explores innovative approaches to improve processes and results.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate, influence, and resolve conflict, may coordinate the activity of other personnel.

The salary range is: $126,472.00-$235,160.00. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
