Compensation & Benefits Summary: Base salary target between $120,000.00 - $250,000.00 with flexibility to go higher for the right candidate with seniority, salary commensurate with experience, bonus based on performance and cases closed throughout the year , total compensation years 1 & 2 realistically should be between $300,000.00 - $350,000.00 along with extensive benefits including, Health, Dental & Vision Insurance (all premiums for individual & family paid for), Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, 401(k) w/ 3% or more employer contribution, 20 days of PTO, Holidays, Paid Parking and more!

Associate Litigation Attorney Opportunity in Culver City, CA, there is a track to partnership!

A nationally recognized plaintiffs’ firm is actively seeking a Litigation Attorney driven to assist individuals harmed by corporate misconduct. The cases they handle are intricate, dynamic, and involve multiple defendants, leading to substantial settlements and verdicts. They uphold a collaborative, accessible atmosphere where teamwork is paramount in effectively representing their clients. To maintain this ethos, the position requires in-office presence.

As a Litigation Attorney, you will receive comprehensive training in mesothelioma (asbestos) litigation if you come from a personal injury, or related practice, and swiftly assume responsibilities for case management. Tasks include conducting written discovery, depositions, motion drafting and advocacy, and trial participation as second chair . While prior trial experience is advantageous, it's not mandatory. They work entails significant client interaction, engaging with families navigating through their most trying times. Demonstrating empathy and establishing rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds are critical attributes for success in this role.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a J.D. from an ABA-accredited institution and be admitted to the California bar.
  • Specific medical related litigation is ideal, however plaintiff PI (personal injury), or related practice work is also great as well (no defense work).
  • Ability to travel 5-8 nights (on average) a month is necessary. Travel is related for depos, trial, meet with other teams, etc., but mostly for client meetings.
  • Once you get up to speed, attorneys will usually work on 15-18 cases, depending on the complexity. This firm prefers to go to trial, and the partners step in at that stage of the legal proceedings.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Ability to foster and sustain meaningful client connections.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in advocating for injured clients.
  • Comfortable operating under tight deadlines within a fast-paced setting.
  • Dedication to plaintiff advocacy while exercising sound judgement.
