This crucial position is integral to our mission of seamlessly integrating advanced decentralized finance (DeFi) solutions into the Solana blockchain ecosystem. 


Who We're Looking For:
As a Legal Counsel with a focus on HR Support at Neon Labs, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the company navigates the complex legal landscape of employment law and human resources policies with confidence and compliance. You will provide legal advice, support HR processes, and ensure that our employment practices meet current legal standards while aligning with our company's values and objectives.

Your Responsibilities

  • Advise on various legal matters related to employment law, including but not limited to hiring, employee relations, termination, benefits, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Draft, review, and update employment contracts, policies, and procedures to ensure legal compliance and alignment with best practices.
  • Support the HR team in managing legal aspects of employee relations, including conflict resolution, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on labor law trends, developments, and best practices, advising the company on potential impacts and strategies.
  • Collaborate with management and external legal counsel on complex legal matters, litigation, and arbitration.
  • Provide training to the HR team and management on legal compliance, risk management, and best practices in employment law.
  • Manage and oversee the company's immigration processes, including visa applications, renewals, and compliance with immigration laws.

Skills, Nice to have and Strong Plus

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in employment law, preferably with experience in the technology or blockchain industry.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating legal risks.
