WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Provide counsel to clients on a wide range of intellectual property-related issues, including patent law, trademark law, copyright law, trade secrets, licensing agreements, and IP litigation

• Conduct legal research, draft documentation, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—attorneys, paralegals, and support staff—to develop innovative and effective legal solutions

• Represent clients in administrative proceedings, negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations related to intellectual property matters

• Stay up to date with intellectual property laws and regulations and proactively advise clients on compliance matters

REQUIREMENTS

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a top accredited law school Ideally with a BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

• Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for reciprocity

• 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in intellectual property law

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Utilize your established book of business to independently support and expand the intellectual property practice in the Dallas market

• Provide strategic counsel to clients on a wide range of intellectual property matters, including patent law, trademark law, copyright law, trade secrets, licensing agreements, and IP litigation

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—attorneys, paralegals, and support staff—to deliver innovative and effective legal solutions to clients

• Mentor and supervise junior attorneys, fostering their professional growth and development within the intellectual property practice

• Stay abreast of industry trends and legal developments, proactively advising clients on intellectual property strategies and risk mitigation

REQUIREMENTS

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a top accredited law school

• Admission to the Texas State Bar

• Minimum book of business of one million dollars

• Demonstrated success in building and maintaining client relationships within the intellectual property sector

• Strong leadership abilities, with a proven track record of effectively managing teams and guiding strategic initiatives
