About the job

Description

Novata is a mission-first company built to enable the private markets to drive more impact.

Novata is an ESG platform for private markets, and makes it easy for private markets to collect, analyze, and report the metrics that matter. Novata’s platform helps solve the challenges that private market investors (including private equity, private credit, hedge funds, growth equity, and venture capital) experience throughout their ESG journey.

Founded in 2021, Novata was created by a unique consortium of non-profit and for-profit organizations that are experts in financial data, private markets, and social justice. In 2023, Novata successfully completed its Series B funding led by Hamilton Lane, with participation from both private and nonprofit investors, such as Microsoft’s Climate Innovation Fund, Hellman & Friedman, and Kohlberg & Company, amongst others.

With both investors and regulators increasingly requesting ESG data, businesses now have a critical need to understand the relevant ESG metrics. Novata aims to build the best technology and tools for private markets to better collect, analyze, benchmark, and report ESG data. Novata’s clients are in private equity, venture capital, growth equity, private credit, limited partners, and professional services, and include Francisco Partners, Silver Lake, Angelo Gordon, and Ares, amongst others.
