Job Description

Business Product Manager, Legal Operations

Job Overview: This role reports to the Director of Legal Operations. Oversees and optimizes legal processes and systems to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and performance. Collaborates closely with legal team, executives, and cross-functional departments to remove barriers to execution and improve productivity. Initially, the role will focus on an in-flight program of strategic importance for ServiceNow, involving teams across Sales, Operations, Digital Technology, Finance and Legal.

What you get to do in this role:

Ensure the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system is part of a successful transformation of how we quote, sell and execute contracts. You will do this by:

  • Leading critical strategic projects; working cross-functionally to structure problems, develop hypotheses, conduct analyses, and drive actionable recommendations and results
  • Leading the end-to-end lifecycle of a project, from strategy to operationalization to execution to results including defining use cases, gathering business requirements, documenting current-state and future-state processes, and conducting gap-analysis
  • Driving business value performance management including defining, tracking, and reporting OKRs and uncovering areas to drive performance improvements and accelerate execution
  • Leading feature/requirements prioritization
  • Driving stakeholder alignment including the preparation of Governance meeting content for Roadmap and requirements review and approval
  • Managing team of Business Product Owners responsible for designing, deploying and maintaining our CLM system
  • Supporting Organizational Change Management (OCM) activities, including enablement strategy development, creation of enablement materials and delivering training
  • Supporting testing activities by scripting UAT tests, organizing testers, and participating in test execution

Qualifications

In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

 

  • 5+ years experience with Legal Operations, Contracts, Quote-to-Cash value chain or similar role
  • Knowledge of Legal processes especially in the context of alignment with Sales processes
  • Experience building, launching and maintaining a CLM system for Enterprise-wide usage a plus
  • Exceptional self-starter skills with ability to thrive and multitask in fast-paced ambiguous environments
  • Ability to influence at all levels across the organization including key leaders and stakeholders to deliver product and customer outcomes
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess business and technology landscape for potential challenges and opportunities
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent collaboration skills
  • Pride in their work’s integrity, quality, timeliness, and accuracy
  • Strong knowledge of Agile principles and experience working in a Scaled Agile (SAFe) implementation
  • Working knowledge of Project Management Fundamentals and Lean Six Sigma methodology

For positions in the Bay Area, we offer a base pay of $119,300 - $208,700, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs (subject to eligibility requirements). Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
