Job Description: Are you a motivated individual ready to join a growing mortgage operations team? Phoenix is seeking a Compliance Specialist to join our Mortgage Loan Funding Division. This position will be staffed through Phoenix Collateral Advisors, as a full-time role dedicated to our direct engagement with NexBank. The Compliance Specialist should be able to interpret rules published by the CFPB that affect RESPA, TILA, HMDA and other mortgage-related compliance regulations. They will maintain service level agreements, ensure a smooth setup process for our TPO’s and thoroughly review document uploads. As a Compliance Specialist you will play a vital role in our customers’ experience while assisting the operations team in a successful loan submission.

Responsibilities:

  • Audit file for completeness and accuracy to ensure compliance before sending out initial disclosures.
  • Prepare LE confirming fees and pricing are accurate.
  • Track initial disclosures that need to be sent.
  • Monitor Change of Circumstance requests and ensure COC notices are being issued timely per federal regulations.
  • Able to communicate with TPO regarding comp types.
  • Monitor Setup Queue for initial loan submission.
  • Ensure SLAs are met per NexBank’s published turn times.
  • Manage Conditions Queue.
  • Order IRS Transcripts through IVES.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years mortgage experience
  • Experience in Wholesale Lending
  • Excellent communication skills
