PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:  

To deliver an exemplary legal service framework for clients while being a liaison with internal and external parties involved in developing and managing matters from all lines of business and products. Entrusted to serve as strategic advisor to the legal teams, strategic partner for business growth, and catalyst for client-centric service experience while enhancing team legal capabilities, and department’s compliance and efficiency.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:   Client Service Delivery:  

  • Oversee legal case management from client onboarding to offboarding through collaboration with the legal team  
  • Perform strategic counseling and billing on active matters regarding legal processes 
  • Engage in client-interaction touchpoints to humanize the client experience while developing legal case 
  • Perform legal documents retrieve, review, enhancement and delivery for the legal team and clients 

Legal & Revenue Management: 

  • Establish operating procedures to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction 
  • Design innovative approaches in legal operations to elevate brand in the legal industry 
  • Lead continuous improvement regarding lines of business and products to exceed client needs 
  • Manage and execute organizational changes to improve operation efficiency and business growth 

Team & Department Support: 

  • Build and foster a work climate aligned with our core values for all members  
  • Coach and mentor legal team providing strategic support, guidance and collaboration 
  • Participate in design and revamp of legal and operational policies and processes to boost team productivity 
  • Manage and develop attorneys in alignment with business goals and objectives 
  • Serve as general counsel for legal excellence for operation efficiency and business growth 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

Education:  

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school 
  • LLM in Intellectual Property required 

Experience:  

  • 10 years of experience in Intellectual Property field required 
  • 5 years of experience working as general counsel or managing attorney while leading teams and legal operations 

Competencies & Requirements:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM 
  • Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) 
  • Possess passed state BAR exam completion 

COMPENSATION:  

  • Pay varies dependent on overall qualifications and geographical location ($100k to 120k yearly)
