Robert Half is seeking a skilled Legal Operations Manager with 5-7+ years of experience to join a wonderful team in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. This Legal Operations Manager position is responsible for managing the operational aspects and administrative functions of the legal department. The successful candidate will work to create efficient systems and processes that support the legal team and assist in various legal projects. The Legal Operations Manager must be dedicated to supporting and improving the legal team's efficiency and ensuring that operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations. This professional must exhibit high levels of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Legal team processes and systems work seamlessly and efficiently, driving continuous improvement to the operational functioning of the team.
• Reporting to the CFO you will be recognized as a leader and business partner that leverages its expertise to respond proactively and efficiently to the legal needs of its internal partners.
• Manager will play a pivotal role in leading the legal department within the organization. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the legal function.
• You will be offering legal advice adapted to the specific business context while playing a strategic role in managing legal risk.
• Maintain and continue to develop a high-performing legal team, including hiring, training, and providing ongoing guidance and mentorship.
• Work with internal resources and outside counsel to formulate legal strategies aligned with the organization's goals and priorities.
• Identify areas for improvement and innovation within the legal department.
• Develop and manage the legal operations budget, tracking expenditures and optimizing resource allocation to achieve cost-effective operations.
• Monitor and interpret changes in relevant laws and regulations in the US that may impact our company's operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in law, business administration, or related field.
• Proven experience in legal administration, legal operations or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of corporate law and legal procedures.
• Excellent organizational, management, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with legal software and knowledge of data analysis and legal research.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to stick to strict deadlines.
• Detail-oriented, with high level of accuracy in work product.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
