Our client, a New York City based realty trust, is seeking a Real Estate Litigation Counsel to add to their vibrant team! The realty trust has a well-positioned portfolio and office, retail, and multifamily assets in Manhattan and the greater NYC metropolitan area. Their portfolio is comprised of approximately 9.4 million rentable square feet of office space.
Daily Responsibilities/Requirements
The Real Estate Litigation Attorney will primarily support certain real estate groups, including property management, construction, leasing and accounting, on a variety of legal matters. Such attorney will:
(i) coordinate litigation matters with outside counsel (primarily consisting of landlord-tenant matters and contract disputes) and provide evaluations of pending cases,
(ii) support the construction group as needed with respect to the buildout of spaces
(iii) review a variety of construction and property-related agreements (including abstracts - in this position the candidate will be working on a plethora of abstracts)
(iv) provide summaries of lease documents
(v) organize and update real estate form documents
(vi) manage real estate documents
(vii) provide additional support to the Chief Counsel-Real Estate in a variety of areas.
