Legal.io is working with a leading consumer finance/financial services company looking to retain a Senior Compliance Analyst on a contract basis, full-time (40 hours/wk), for an initial 3-month term.

The Senior Compliance Analyst will be responsible for managing audits and testing of various controls related to regulatory compliance. The candidate must possess an understanding of compliance regulations and best practices, have excellent analytical skills, be detail-oriented, a strong communicator and strong collaborator.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute audits and testing of various controls related to regulatory compliance
  • Proactively identify and address potential gaps or weaknesses in existing controls
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across different departments to develop and implement new controls to enhance compliance
  • Provide guidance and support to internal departments on compliance matters
  • Develop and maintain documentation of controls and compliance processes
  • Respond to internal risk assessment and inquiries related to compliance and controls
  • Identify and communicate potential gaps and areas of improvement to management
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and ensure adherence to appropriate regulations and policies

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in compliance or regulatory affairs
  • Experience managing and executing audits and testing
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Looker and BigQuery is a plus
  • knowledge of compliance regulations and best practices is preferred

Role Details: Hours: 40 Hours / Week Duration: 3 Months (From 5/5/2024 until 8/4/2024) Pay Rate: $45/hr
