Location: NYC (Hybrid) Compensation: $100k-$125k + bonus ($25k-$40k)

Position: Our client is seeking an Analyst to join the firm’s Legal and Compliance department. Under the supervision of the firm’s attorneys, the Analyst will be expected to provide support to the firm’s Legal and Compliance department as a detail-oriented professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Administering Board of Director’s meetings and contributing to the firm’s management of vendors
  • Conducting compliance testing
  • Maintaining legal agreements and other key business documents
  • Meeting scheduling
  • Monitoring Code of Ethics compliance and management of the firm’s compliance system
  • Project coordination
  • Responding to various requests for information
  • Storing and summarizing key legal documents
  • Supporting the preparation and submission of regulatory filings
  • Supporting fund launches

Candidate Selection Criteria: The candidate must be an outstanding performer, with approximately 1-3 years of experience in the financial services industry including operations, investment management or similar experience. The candidate is expected to be highly organized with an ability to engage in multiple projects at a time. The role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail and a positive attitude.

The candidate will have the following personal and professional characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top university with demonstration of academic excellence
  • Ability to critically evaluate data and communicate findings
  • Familiarity with applicable regulation and ongoing regulatory filings
  • Familiarity with fund launches and related fund documents
  • Understanding of organizational / business structures and controls
  • Experience with file and vendor management processes
  • Experience conducting compliance reviews of marketing materials and other testing is preferred
  • Integrity and high moral standards
  • High motivation and interest in learning
  • High degree of attention to detail and organization skills to prioritize workflow and manage projects collaboratively
