We are looking for a talented attorney to join our team and support the Amazon Flex program in North America! Amazon Flex is a delivery program where independent drivers use their own vehicles to deliver packages for Amazon.

As an attorney for Flex, you will be an integral part of the business teams you support and serve as lead counsel on a diverse array of projects, including product counseling, commercial and technology contracts, marketing, privacy, and regulatory compliance matters. You'll be a trusted advisor to your clients in a fast-paced business, helping them to anticipate and address strategic legal, regulatory, and reputational risk. You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and you will build processes that address risk and provide us with the flexibility and freedom to move quickly.

This position may be based in Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of legal experience
  • Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • A mix of corporate law firm and in-house experience is a plus, with experience in product counseling and/or technology transactions
  • Ability to work effectively and demonstrate sound judgment in fast-paced, ambiguous situations
  • Ability to work independently while contributing successfully to cross-functional teams
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $123,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
