At Olo we develop an online food ordering platform used by many of the country's largest restaurant chains, reaching millions of consumers. Chances are if you've ordered directly from a restaurant brand's app or website, we've made that happen.
We are looking for a business-focused attorney to join the Olo Legal Team and support Olo's Sales, Customer, and Product teams. Reporting to the VP, Deputy General Counsel, as Senior Counsel you will oversee a variety of commercial agreement negotiations and advise on product development in collaboration with teams across Olo. Our colleagues look to us to assess risk and provide clear legal guidance while meeting Olo’s business objectives, so we are looking for an attorney who is passionate about analyzing real-world issues and is able to identify creative and practical solutions. As part of a small legal team at a growing company, you will have the opportunity to broaden your skill set while serving in a crucial, high visibility role at Olo.
You can work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. or at Olo's headquarters in NYC.
What We'll Expect From You
- An ownership mentality.
- A good sense of humor and a team-oriented approach (our legal culture is top notch).
- Preferably a quick wit and a deep understanding of pop culture references.
There’s also legal stuff:
- JD degree with 4-5 years of relevant legal experience.
- Membership in good standing in at least one state bar.
- Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Experience drafting procurement and strategic partnership deals.
- Experience assessing legal risk while providing practical advice.
- Comfort taking ownership of projects and working on cutting-edge legal issues.
- Seriously, the sense of humor and pop culture references are important.
