We are looking for an experienced litigation and employment paralegal who has excellent judgment, is highly resourceful, has exceptional communications skills, and is able to balance competing demands in a positive and client-friendly manner. We want collaborators who will hopefully contribute some humor to our legal slack channel. What you'll do:

  • Assist in managing a diverse caseload of matters, including internal investigations, employment disputes, commercial litigation, and regulatory matters.
  • Work alongside litigation and employment counsel and collaborate with teams, including legal, people operations, business, and others.
  • Manage the intake and preparation of responses to subpoenas and discovery requests, including (1) preparing and distributing litigation hold notices, and (2) collecting, reviewing, and producing documents.
  • Resolve routine legal issues under the direction of an attorney.
  • Develop and maintain templates for employment-related documents, including offer letters, employment agreements, and separation agreements. Maintain accurate records of template usage, revisions, and approvals, ensuring version control.
  • Stay informed about developments in employment law, litigation trends, and relevant industry regulations. Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues, including attorneys and other paralegals, to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices within the legal department.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certification preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of litigation support experience as a Paralegal or Legal Specialist at a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Experience with civil litigation and/or regulatory investigation response procedures, including e-discovery.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of legal research methods and tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent analytical, problem solving, and project management skills.
  • Experience effectively and efficiently managing numerous cases and/or projects under time-sensitive deadlines with minimal oversight in a collaborative environment.

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is

$84,600—$155,100 USD
