About The Role

Cerebras Systems is seeking its second full-time legal hire. This is a critical, challenging, and high impact role, with an opportunity to own several functional areas during a high growth period for the company. In addition to providing excellent, business-minded, and creative legal advice, this person will be responsible for building out efficient and sustainable legal processes and infrastructure. The ideal candidate has deep expertise and top tier training in at least one practice area, with a strong desire to broaden their scope.

This role will report to the General Counsel, and will be a Senior Corporate Counsel or Director of Legal, depending on candidate experience level.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue and supply chain deals to close.
  • Provide product counseling on AI, compliance, and info sec matters.
  • Support certain corporate legal needs, including secondary transactions, equity plan administration, and international subsidiary management.
  • Build out labor & employment processes in several jurisdictions.
  • Manage outside counsel efficiently.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3-7 years of law firm training in either technology transactions (preferred) or corporate law. Additional experience in-house at high growth startups preferred.
  • Deep experience in at least one substantive area of law (e.g., commercial transactions) with ability to operate unsupervised.
  • Strong desire and ability to quickly learn other practice areas (e.g., corporate, labor & employment, AI product counseling).
  • Can-do attitude and strong work ethic; no task is beneath you and no problem is unsolvable.
  • Semiconductor industry experience helpful but not required.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) and bar admission required (California preferred).
