Overview

This role supports the Legal department as needed.  This is a short-term contract position 40 hours per week for 6 months, with availability to extend if needed. This position is not eligible for company benefits and incentive programs. 

Workplace Persona:  Collaborator.  This position is onsite in our Broomfield office at least 3 days per week (Tuesday – Thursday); Mondays/Fridays may be remote if desired. 

Pay Range is $22-$25 per hour. 

What You'll Do

• Transfer of intellectual property data into a matter management software, including: correspondence review and interpretation to determine relevant fields, completing associated data entry and case file organization
• Update and organize IP legal files, records and other documents within company systems
• Assist with legal billing matter management
• Contract review intake
• Create vendor accounts
• Compliance and risk assessment due diligence
• Mailing and shipping for the department
• Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring to the Table

• Must possess at least 1-2 years of in-house legal department or law firm experience.
• IP experience a plus.
• Extremely organized with an impeccable attention to detail.
• Must possess business acumen and apply critical thinking and analysis.
• Maintains strict confidentiality and professionalism.
• Keen interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Tech savvy, with proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office. Experience using FileVine is a plus.
• Proven ability to be resourceful, exercise initiative and sound judgment.
