The Human Resources Compliance (HRC) Manager will build and implement HRC strategy and develop and lead the HRC team. Manage projects to ensure federal, state, local, and company-specific compliance standards are met. May be assigned to specific operational areas of focus or area of the business which is subject to change per business need.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Research and understanding of new and developing laws across the United States and partnering with Legal, HR and business operations to identify actions required for TJX including developing, reviewing and revising company policy and procedures.
  • Develop, document, and implement protocol, communications, and training.
  • Conducts needs assessments and gap analyses to advise and implement HRC strategies.
  • Partners appropriately to optimally create and implement operational programs and procedures for the department and the company.
  • Leads all aspects of the performance management and development of HRC Associates
  • Partners to identify compliance-related continuous improvement and automation opportunities to streamline and centralize where possible.
  • Maintains knowledge of dynamic human resources, compliance, and project management standards and trends and benchmarks to advise HRC initiatives.
  • Assesses the human resources and compliance landscape to identify cost and risk mitigating opportunities.
  • Develops and promotes avenues for managers and Associates to offer feedback to reshape internal processes such as with leave management, payroll and timekeeping, and relevant HR audits.
  • Develops and provides communication infrastructure strategy oversight to HR Compliance Team and enables efficient project work, assigned tasks and communication with project teams and business partners.
  • Ensures HRC digital infrastructure (SharePoint/Teams) supports the ability for HR Business Partners to access HRC materials on demand.
  • Develops and manages small and large-scale project plans, role clarity, results, and assignments for broad scale and specific HRC work, including long-term initiatives aligned with the strategic HRC agenda.
  • Navigates complexities and obstacles to delivering on SLAs. Raising and making recommendations for alternate outcomes when needed

Who We Are Looking For: You.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Psychology, Communications or equivalent
  • 5 – 7 years proven experience in HR or legal
  • PMP certification a plus.
  • Intelligent / Robotic Process Automation Certification a plus
  • Legal knowledge of relevant employment laws
  • Cross functional project management experience
  • Creative Problem solving skills.
  • Collaboration, facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution skills
  • Strong influencing and ability to communicate strategic thinking cross functionally at all levels.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Experience creating training content and materials.
  • Microsoft Office Suite including – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio, Project, PowerBI, Access, Co-pilot, and/or Articulate a plus.

This position has a starting salary range of $90,200 to $115,200 per year.

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
