We are seeking a Corporate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team at nCino. As a Corporate Attorney, you will play a critical role in providing legal counsel and guidance to various departments within the organization, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and supporting business initiatives to achieve our strategic objectives.

Essential Functions

Legal Counsel and Advisory:

  • Collaborate with Legal team to provide legal advice and counsel to the sales and legal organization on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including contracts, intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance in product development, marketing, and sales activities
  • Identify potential legal risks in partnership with team, escalate and recommend solutions to mitigate them

Contracts And Agreements

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including client agreements, vendor contracts, partnership agreements, and licensing agreements.
  • Ensure contracts are in line with company policies and comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Compliance And Governance

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local, national, and international laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to SAAS operations
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of compliance and training programs to enhance the company's legal and ethical standards

Policy Development & Projects

  • Collaborate with Legal team to develop and update internal policies and procedures to align with changing legal requirements and industry best practices
  • Support additional team functions where necessary, including but not limited to merger and acquisition planning, dispute resolution, and other litigation support
  • Support internal team and corporate projects and work groups, providing the legal point of view to advance priorities

Qualifications

_Required

_

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA accredited law school and be a member in good standing
  • Knowledge of corporate law, contracts, and regulatory compliance
  • Two years of related work experience or proficiency
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders and at all levels of the organization
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability manage multiple projects and responsibilities concurrently
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail

Desired

  • Prior experience in a law firm or legal organization
  • Knowledgeable of contract law
  • Knowledge or experience negotiating and/or drafting contracts and agreements
  • Familiarity with the financial services industry, SaaS, trademarks, intellectual property, data privacy laws and regulations
  • Enthusiasm for technology industry with an interest in the nCino platform and products, and a willingness to understand the technology supporting nCIno offerings
  • Salesforce experience
