Title: Attorney Location: Morristown, NJ Remote/Hybrid/Onsite: Ideally, the job will be hybrid. On average, it would be 2 days in the office and 3 days remote. Position Type: Contract, possible temp-to-perm Duration: 6+ months Rate: $40.00 - $65.00/hr

ROLE OVERVIEW: Provide general legal services at an exciting global company with U.S. offices located in New Jersey, Maryland, Texas, Florida, and Oregon and manufacturing facilities in a number of other locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide general legal services at an exciting global company with U.S. offices located in New Jersey, Maryland, Texas, Florida, and Oregon and manufacturing facilities in a number of other locations. Provide legal review, advice, and support on a broad range of legal matters including strategic transactions, commercial contracting, licensing, quality and operations, and general corporate matters across the Pharma Biotech & Nutrition segment and various functions, including procurement, . Work closely with all business functions and senior management. Actively assist company in achieving business objectives. Demonstrate strategic value and competence in applying legal skills to daily corporate, business, compliance and other matters. Position would have significant responsibility for a diverse range of commercial, legal, and compliance matters, including high profile, complex matters. Responsible for assuring the availability, continuity and quality of competent, timely and cost efficient legal services. This position has an important role in providing legal advice in areas of significant company-wide impact. Provide legal review, advice, and support on a broad range of legal matters including quality, regulatory, operations, strategic transactions, contracting, licensing, transactional, and general corporate matters across multiple business units. Provide comprehensive legal counsel to support contractual and commercial projects for *’s business operations and initiatives. Work closely with all business functions and senior management. Actively assist company in achieving business objectives. Supervise outside counsel and related budgets, as needed. Identify areas of company risk and make proposals for and lead implementation of mitigation strategies. Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience and practical skills in commercial transactional / contracting matters. High degree of professional ethics and integrity. Excellent judgment and ability to operate in a fast-paced, small legal department on a broad range of commercial and legal matters with a primary focus on negotiating complex contractual arrangements with customers and vendors, typically in connection with services and goods. Ability to act independently and as part of a team. Ability to provide solution-oriented, practical guidance in working with business management. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate clearly with colleagues, outside counsel, business partners, and other stakeholders. Excellent analytical skills and people skills are essential. Ability to prioritize responsibilities, to work efficiently, to manage, and to conclude, in a timely manner, many agreements, projects, and issues. Willingness to travel and work extended hours, as needed. Admission and membership in good standing to the bar of at least one state and maintenance of New Jersey in-house counsel license (if required). The likelihood of travel for this temporary role is extremely low Ideally, the job will be hybrid. On average, it would be 2 days in the office and 3 days remote.
