Job Description:

McDonald’s Global Compliance is a global team comprised of compliance attorneys and legal professionals that works to cultivate a culture of compliance and integrity through the McDonald’s compliance program. We are seeking an experienced attorney to join our team as Senior Counsel and support the ongoing implementation and administration of McDonald’s global compliance program.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Take on initiatives and achieve goals to continue to build and preserve McDonald's culture of compliance and integrity.
  • Proactively collaborate with employees and business partners to communicate McDonald’s compliance-related requirements and respond to compliance and ethics inquiries.
  • Supervise and conduct investigations into reported allegations of violations of the Standards of Business Conduct.
  • Provide legal counsel and guidance for various compliance-related matters, particularly in the areas of anti-corruption and sanctions compliance, and regulatory trends.
  • Collaborate with legal partners, global functions and the business to develop and evolve policy and guidance within McDonald’s. Draft and review compliance-related materials and communications, including policies, procedures, standards and directives to meet compliance and ethics requirements and enable business objectives.
  • Develop plans and recommendations to ensure implementation of long-term strategies for advancing and strengthening compliance objectives globally, including McDonald’s anti-corruption program.
  • Supervise, lead, and evaluate outside counsel, as needed.
  • Limited travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Attorney in good standing with a license to practice law in the US
  • 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Practice experience in global compliance, including anti-corruption and sanctions compliance, is preferred
  • Prior in-house experience is preferred
