The Intellectual Property Practice Group of Baker McKenzie seeks an experienced IP Patent Paralegal in the Dallas, Texas office. The IP Patent Paralegal is responsible for electronic filings of USPTO documents, international (PCT)applications, PCT amendments and Demands for International Preliminary Examination through PCT-Safe and ePCT. Additionally, the IP Paralegal will be responsible for overseeing domestic and foreign patent prosecution matters from filing to grant, including interfacing with clients on instructions and reporting of substantive patent prosecution matters, interfacing with clients regarding payment of annuities (through CPA Global), preparing status and docket reports for clients, and working closely with the attorneys on maintenance of docket and filing deadlines.

We would prefer a candidate having a minimum of 5 years patent filing and prosecution work experience, including familiarity with registration practice, IPR knowledge, and in-depth knowledge of patent filing and prosecution practices in the USPTO (including formatting and upload of filing documents in Patent Center), PCT (e-PCT) , and other major jurisdictions worldwide. Additionally, the candidate should have working knowledge of patent docketing software (including use of Clarivate IP Manager). Associate's degree or equivalent experience required.
