Job Title: Investment Management Attorney Location: Chicago, IL [4 days in office / 1 day WFH] Compensation: $150-175k base + bonus

Role Overview: We are looking for a talented [3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th year] Investment Management Attorney to join our legal team. The successful candidate will work closely with senior members, providing legal advice and support for a range of investment management activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and provide recommendations based on best practices.
• Analyze and interpret laws and regulations at all levels (state, international & federal)
• Conduct research and offer recommendations based on best legal practices.
• Contribute Legal advice on new fund launches and other structures.
• Collaborate with internal groups on new funds, side letters and strategies.
• Support General Counsel while responding to legal inquiries from business units or departments.
• Maintain strong interpersonal skills and elevate issues when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate with a minimum of 3 years of legal experience.
• Direct exposure within the Financial Services field (Hedge Fund, Private Equity, Asset Mgmt, etc.)
• Working experience within fund formations and negotiations are requirements for this role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
