Job Description

Preferred Education:
• High School

Qualifications:
• Candidate must have the ability to multi-task
• Organize and prioritize work, set priorities and independently manage deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PDF creation tools, Outlook, Word, Excel, Share-Point) is a plus.
• Experience with Data Entry
• Experience in a corporate, legal office setting

The Legal Assistant will conduct legal research using electronic databases (Westlaw, Lexis), as well as, traditional methods.

Legal Assistant Responsibilities:
• Conduct verdict searches
• Review discovery responses, prepare and assemble document production, including redacting documents, as necessary
• Draft correspondence
• Draft and assemble briefs and motions, including tables, affidavits, exhibits and other documents
• Assist AAG with trial preparation including digesting deposition transcripts, organizing and uploading trial motions and exhibits
• Maintain and develop spreadsheet to track cases and discovery production
• Prepare and electronically file documents to NYSCEF
• Learn and use intra-office electronic filing system
• Copy and scan documents as necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned
