The Bankruptcy team of a prestigious law firm is seeking a paralegal for their New York office. The position would help a team of attorneys with bankruptcy support in a hybrid capacity, assisting with responsibilities like:

• Preparing, filing, and serving pleadings, proofs of claim, and other court documents
• Tracking deadlines and managing calendar for all bankruptcy cases nationwide
• Reviewing and monitoring case dockets to identify, summarize, and circulate relevant pleadings
• Understanding local rules and procedures and communicating with attorneys, clients, and professionals regarding cases
• Arranging hearing appearances, material preparation, and trial preparation
• Monitoring time records regarding billable hours spent on specific cases, reviewing bills and preparing tracking files with fee application preparation
• Communicating with creditors and responding to inquiries

Candidate Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience with bankruptcy experience
• Law firm experience
• ECF Filing experience (both federal and state)
• Organized, timely, and communicative
