As our Intellectual Property Paralegal, you will join the Intellectual Property Team focused on protecting the company’s intellectual property assets to enable Impossible Foods’ continued success. You will work closely with your colleagues in the IP, R&D, Marketing and Communications teams as well as our business leads and other members of the Counsel team, to provide administrative support for Impossible Foods’ patent, trademark, copyright, domain name and overall intellectual property programs.

As our Intellectual Property Paralegal, you will join the Intellectual Property Team focused on protecting the company’s intellectual property assets to enable Impossible Foods’ continued success. You will work closely with your colleagues in the IP, R&D, Marketing and Communications teams as well as our business leads and other members of the Counsel team, to provide administrative support for Impossible Foods’ patent, trademark, copyright, domain name and overall intellectual property programs.
You Will
- Work closely with the Impossible Foods IP team to execute on Impossible Foods’ intellectual property strategy.
- Collaborate with the legal and business teams in R&D, product, marketing, sales, operations, and security to collect information and materials in support of our patent, trademark and domain name programs.
- Establish and maintain internal practices and procedures for patent, trademark and domain name-related information, filings, and deadlines, including setting up new docket management systems.
- Work closely with outside patent and trademark counsel to manage deadlines and facilitate filing of documents and materials in support of Impossible Foods’ patent, trademark and domain name programs.
- Proactively partner with the Legal Operations team and other members of the Counsel team to learn and share best practices for information sharing, knowledge-management and collaboration tools.
- Provide general administrative support for the IP team and for internal training programs to build awareness of the importance of intellectual property and to drive best practices to both leverage and protect those assets.
- Exercise excellent judgment and extraordinary organizational and communication skills to grow and protect Impossible Foods’ patent, trademark and overall intellectual property programs.
You Have
- 2-4 years of experience as a paralegal or administrative specialist in the area of intellectual property law (with at least 2 years at a law firm)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills; high level of attention to detail
- Ability to handle fast-paced environment while managing deadline pressures
- Tech-savvy, with the desire and ability to master databases, collaboration tools and knowledge-management tools
- Facile with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office programs, Google Docs and common intellectual property docketing systems
- Strong communication skills and collaborative nature
- Sense of adventure
Preferred But Not Required
- Paralegal certification
- Prior in-house experience supporting intellectual property team as a paralegal or administrative specialist
